The movie follows the increasing isolation and desperation of workers on a dig site in northern Canada. What's actually going on is left pretty ambiguous. Or maybe not, we argued about that.
The Babadook is a 2014 Australian / Canadian horror movie that was mostly shot in South Africa. Real international this thing. In any case, the movie's about a mom struggling to cope with the death of her husband and with her increasingly socially-challenged young son.
